We analyse source rocks and asphaltenes using pyrolysis to build kinetic models for predicting evolving GOR, PVT behaviour and oil-to-gas cracking limits, and to release bound biomarkers for oil correlation.

Shale Plays

We evaluate the extent of fractionation associated with production from shales by predicting in-situ composition using PhaseSnapShots, comparing phase envelope geometry with PVT-reports, and using polar compound geochemistry.

New Energies

It is only recently that naturally occurring H2 has been deemed a potentially viable primary energy source. While serpentinization and radiolysis sources are favoured, organic sources cannot be ignored.

GEOS4's bulk and GORfat kinetics data are available for multiclient applications, and are leased to the customer. Browse the database by country, age, or formation to select the source rock you need.
