We have published kinetic models for the generation of H2 from highly overmature organic matter in source and reservoir contexts, and demonstrated the quantitative significance of organically sourced H2 (H2ORG). Petroliferous basins can therefore be re-evaluated, knowing that a complex production and delivery infrastructure exists. Here we offer to visit or revisit exploration acreage using the suite of Trinity T3 and Genesis (Zetaware), as well as Petromod®(SLB) basin modelling software, to quantitatively assess H2-resource potential, as well as that of late hydrocarbon gas.
